Winter is no excuse to stop running! Running with a group keeps you motivated and helps get you out of bed on those chilly mornings. Check out our winter fun runs below. Remember, fun runs are always free and open to the public! Please note, we cannot allow dogs due to insurance regulations.

Back To Bridger. 5 distances to choose from, all ending at Bridger Bowl parking lot.
17.5 Miles- start time 9:00 AM, start location Elks Club at 205 Haggerty Lane
12.5 Miles- start time 9:30 AM, start location Sawmill Gulch & Kelly Canyon Road
10 Miles- start time 9:50 AM, start location Kelly Canyon Road & Bridger Canyon
7 Miles- start time 10:10 AM, start location Bridger Canyon & Jackson Creek
3 Miles- start time 10:30 AM, start location 2.5 miles south of Bridger Bowl Road

Finish line closes at 12:30 PM, please choose a distance that you can finish by 12:30 PM. You are responsible for your own transportation to start line and/or back from Bridger Bowl. BSWD does not provide any transportation, please plan accordingly.

Halloween Costume Run. Meet at 9:00 AM at the corner of Grant & 11th (parking lot near MSU Fieldhouse). 1.1, 3.1, 5.4 mile routes available. Come dressed for the occasion!

Jim Banks Turkey Trot Prediction Run. 2.2 or 4.4 mile courses in the Spirit Hills neighborhood. This is a no watch/prediction run. The closest runner to their predicted time in each distance wins a turkey! Raffle determines additional turkey winners. Start at 9:00 AM at Foothills Fellowship church (corner of Springhill Rd. and Sentinel Dr.)

Bon Appetite Run. Meet at the Elks Club (205 Haggerty Lane) at 9:00 AM. Run any distance, any route you would like. Group will decide where to meet for breakfast afterward. Untimed, unsupported.

November 28, 2013- Huffing for Stuffing
Hungry to run on Thanksgiving Day? Come see what the Huff is about and join our 7th annual fundraiser event! 5k & 10k races, Kids’ Run, and Untimed 5k Fun Run/Walk for people who prefer to ease into the holiday. All events start & finish at the Museum of the Rockies. Prizes for runners who “Smoke the Turkey” in the 5k! All participants and volunteers receive a micro-fiber race shirt and cornucopia of fun! Terrific awards again this year. Entry fee is $20 except for the Kids’ Run which is FREE with food donation! Everyone can bring non-perishable donations. Proceeds benefit the Gallatin Valley Food Bank; our six-year cumulative donation is $142,700! Huffing ofr Stuffing is about community support, family and fun; runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. BSWD Fat Ass 50K, 50K (one 5K loop at a time). 9:00 AM. Headwaters Park Start in the parking lot by the restrooms. If it is below 0° the run will take place the following Saturday. Run as many 5Ks as you want (or the weather allows) with road & trail options available. Self timed; if you finish after 3:00 pm, you will need to report your time to the club. Free hot and cold drinks. Free entry. Free company. Top five entrants get free entry next year.

33rd Froze Nose Fun Run, 5.4, 3, 1.1 mi, 9:00 AM, MSU Grant & 11th. Courses go out along Kagy, the furthest going through the Cherry subdivision. Get a handicap time for the March run and see if you can improve enough to win!

34th Handicapped Fun Run, 5, 3, 1.1 mi, MSU Grant & 11th. Courses go out along Kagy, the furthest going through the Cherry subdivision. Start according to your handicap. Handicaps will be determined for those individuals who participated in the Froze Nose Run in February.  Those who did not run in the Froze Nose will have starting times as follows:  5 Miles – 9:20am   3.0 Miles – 9:30 am   1.1 Miles – 9:45 am.

For those who ran the Froze Nose, here are your start times if you plan on running the same distance at the Handicap Run. If you are changing distances, (e.g. you ran 5 miles but only want to run 3 this time) then start at the “New Runner” time for your new distance.

33rd Back from Bridger, 17.5, 12.5, 9.7, 7 & 3 miles 9:00 AM, Bridger Bowl. The run starts at the Bridger Bowl parking lot. Sign up starts at 8:30. The courses follow Bridger Canyon drive and Kelly Canyon road

-The 3 mile course ends 2.5 miles from the Bridger Bowl entrance
-The 7 mile run ends at Jackson Creek Road & Bridger Canyon
-The 10 mile run ends at Kelly Canyon & Bridger Canyon
-The 12.5 run ends at Sawmill Road on Kelly Canyon road
-The 17.5 mile course ends at the Elks Club (Former Sports and Courts) on Haggerty Lane in Bozeman

The finish line closes at 12:30. Water will be provided at the finish of each distance. You will need your own transportation back to the start.

Baldy Blitz, Run to the top of Baldy and back down. Generally a good deal of snow remaining. This is both a free fun run and a timed race, so for a small $5 fee  you get a lasting momento and inclusion in the record books. Proceeds benefit the Southwest Montana Climbers Coalition. Run begins at the M trailhead at 9AM.

24th Frank Newman Marathon and Relay, 26.2 miles, 8:00 AM, Bridger Canyon Rd, Half marathon will start later on top of Bozeman Pass. You won’t find a better deal than this $3 race!
