DESCRIPTION:The holidays are here\, and what better way to celebrate than with friends? \nWe’ll be joining the Bozeman Run Club and our friends at the Gallatin Valley Land Trust for a joint Jingle\nBell Jog event this Saturday along the Gallagator Trail and Peet’s Hill\, with options to extend your run into the\nPainted Hills trail system and Triple Tree\, for those looking to put in some longer distances! \nMeet us at the GVLT office (212 S. Wallace – easiest to park in the Library parking lot and access the GVLT grounds from the east side) at 10 a.m. sharp (note the new\, later start time!!) \nBring your jingliest and jolliest holiday bells\, cow bells\, bear bells\, hand bells\, bicycle bells … really\nanything that makes noise to help ring in a great year of running\, while also showing your appreciation\nand support for GVLT and our amazing local land and trail partners. \nIf you don’t know much about GLVT\, be sure to check out the great work they’re doing to maintain our\nphenomenal trail systems and conserve our pristine landscapes here. \nAfterward\, join us for a cookie exchange! Bring along a plate of cookies to share and swap with others.\nBozeman Run Club and GVLT will also provide drinks and treats – it’ll be quite the party!\nTrail options are as follows: \n\n\n\n1 Mile Route\n3 Mile Route\n5 Mile Route\n10 Mile Route\n17 Mile Route\n\n(Only the 1\, 3\, and 5 Mile Routes will be marked and timed!) \nThis IS a dog-friendly event\, but if you bring your dog for the run\, be aware that dogs must stay outside for this event\, and will not be allowed in the building. \nSee you out there!

SUMMARY:Winter Fun Run: Gallatin Heights Pirate Run
DESCRIPTION:A new running venue for the club\, for 2023!  We will be running in the Gallatin Heights neighborhood\, just SW of the intersection of Jackrabbit Lane and Valley Center Drive.  We’ll have the traditional 1-\, 3-\, and 5-mile courses\, starting from the gazebo in the park where Heights Circle and Mammoth Fork Drive meet. \nThis is our closest run to Halloween\, so we are encouraging everyone to come out dressed as your favorite pirate!  Aye .. and there’ll be Treasure\, too (look for treasure along the run courses!!). \nTo reach the park take Jackrabbit Lane to the intersection with Valley Center Road (heading north on Jackrabbit from 4 Corners\, or south from Belgrade)\, turn west on West Valley Center Road\, then left onto Mammoth Fork Drive\, and continue until it meets Heights Circle at the park. \nRun starts at our traditional winter runs start time of 9 AM.  Please bring your own water bottle\, if you can remember to do so!

DESCRIPTION:Come do a summer classic – running the trails in Glen Lake Park!  Please remember to bring along your water bottle\, and maybe a clothing change for a dip after the run?!  We’ll be meeting at the new Rotary Centennial pavilion (after turning off Manley Road\, drive to the far end of the Glen Lake parking (past the bathrooms) – the new pavilion is beyond the old pavilion. \nPlease note that dogs are not permitted in this area of the park\, so please leave your 4-legged friends home for this run. \nHere are trail maps for the routes  (due to flooding in the area\, some of the courses are slightly modified from previous years!): \n\nShort course ( ~1 mile)\nMedium course (2.95 miles)\nLong course (5.02 miles)
