Please read the special Summer 2020 information below,<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \" ><div class='avia_textblock  '  ><h3>Participation Awards Program &#8211; Summer 2020 Season<\/h3>\n<p>Participation Awards for the Summer 2020 season are based on <strong>points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Points are earned for participation in various running-related activities put on by the Wind Drinkers, such as participating in fun runs (including the ones from Winter 2019-2020), running on designated Wind Drinker Fun Run courses, volunteering at a run, joining our Strava Club, and participating in Fun Run Challenges.\u00a0 Runners accumulate points for all the activities they do with the club &#8211; the more activities they do, the more points they accumulate!\u00a0 Running totals of our runners&#8217; points are updated regularly, and are displayed in our <a href=\"https:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/summer-2020-fun-run-statistics#summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Summer 2020 Summary table<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our awards, then, are also based on points.\u00a0 We offer a variety of running-related swag items from which runners can choose.\u00a0 Each item has an associated &#8220;price&#8221;, in points, which is the number of points that must be redeemed in order to receive the item.\u00a0 \u00a0The items and their point prices, as well as instructions on how to place orders for them, are listed on our <a href=\"https:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/summer-2020-participation-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Participation Award prizes page<\/a>.\u00a0 Those who run a lot, get lots of points &#8211; and thus, can get lots of prizes!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<div style='height:1px; margin-top:-30px'  class='hr hr-invisible  '><span class='hr-inner ' ><span class='hr-inner-style'><\/span><\/span><\/div><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \" ><div class='avia_textblock  '  ><p><!--\n\nWe love seeing our club members come out to as many fun runs as possible! Each year the club gives out summer and winter participation awards. The awards change each year, some past examples are: long sleeve tech shirts, baseball-style hats, insulated travel mugs, short sleeve tech shirts, duffle bags, socks, and fleece hats. Like fitness, participation awards must be earned. Here\u2019s how you can get one!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3>Summer Award Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ol>\n \t\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Must be a current paid BSWD member.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \t\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Must participate in 10 (8 if high school, 5 if younger)\u00a0<a title=\"Summer Fun\u00a0Runs\" href=\"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/current-run-schedule\/summer-fun-runs\/\">summer fun runs<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \t\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Must volunteer at 2 summer fun runs (timing, course marking, etc.). The club periodically requests volunteers for other events such as races that may fulfill this qualification.\u00a0 No volunteer requirement for high school or younger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3>Winter Award Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<ol>\n \t\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Must be a current paid BSWD member.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \t\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Must participate in 4\u00a0<a title=\"Winter Fun\u00a0Runs\" href=\"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/current-run-schedule\/winter-fun-runs\/\">winter fun runs<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \t\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Must volunteer at 1 winter fun run.\u00a0 No volunteer requirement for high school or younger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAwards are handed out at the spring and fall potlucks.\n\n--><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper.
