{"id":4829,"date":"2016-08-30T11:22:23","date_gmt":"2016-08-30T17:22:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/?p=4829"},"modified":"2016-08-30T11:26:43","modified_gmt":"2016-08-30T17:26:43","slug":"bswd-fun-run-hyalite-resrvoir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/bswd-fun-run-hyalite-resrvoir\/","title":{"rendered":"BSWD Fun Run &#8211; Hyalite Resrvoir"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15710\" class=\"msg-body inner undoreset\" tabindex=\"0\">\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15709\" class=\"email-wrapped\">\n<div id=\"yiv9326027273\">\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15708\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15747\">Hi all,<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15713\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15712\">Thanks to Jackie McGuire for hosting last week&#8217;s potluck. \u00a0Everyone had a great time and thanks to everyone for bringing all of the good food. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15715\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15714\">A quick reminder here that tomorrow&#8217;s (Wednesday) <a href=\"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/event\/hyalite-reservoir\/\">Fun Run will be at Hyalite Reservoir<\/a>, and starts at 6:30 pm. \u00a0We&#8217;ll have a 1, 3, and 5 mile option all on trails. \u00a0Head up to Hyalite Reservoir and go to the parking area just west of the dam. \u00a0I think they have made improvements to the trail and widened it out. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15717\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15716\">I sound like a broken record, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/event\/john-colter-run\/\">John Colter Run<\/a> is two weeks from Saturday. \u00a0I think we are pretty much ready with just some set up and fine tuning to do before the run. \u00a0It promises to be an outstanding run this year with river crossings, bbq, live music, great prizes and lots of comradery! \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.racemontana.com\/Search\/event.aspx?id=37132\">Sign up on Race Montana<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15719\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15718\">I went to help my father rob and extract honey this week. \u00a0My photo shows a full frame of capped honey being cut with a hot knife just before it goes into the honey extractor. \u00a0The honey is spun out, flows into a series of weirs, or clarifier, and then pumped into a large stainless steel container where it is poured into jars and buckets. \u00a0All of the good microbes stay in the honey this way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Small_Cutting_off_Cap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-portfolio wp-image-4830\" src=\"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Small_Cutting_off_Cap-495x400.jpg\" alt=\"Small_Cutting_off_Cap\" width=\"495\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15720\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1472569336196_15741\">See you on Wednesday!
