{"id":11084,"date":"2017-11-14T13:14:03","date_gmt":"2017-11-14T19:14:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=11084"},"modified":"2025-10-30T10:38:46","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T16:38:46","slug":"jingle-bell-jog-2","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/winddrinkers.org\/trailhead\/event\/jingle-bell-jog-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter Fun Run: Jingle Bell Jog and Cookie Exchange"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The holidays are here, and what better way to celebrate than with friends?<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be joining the Bozeman Run Club and our friends at the Gallatin Valley Land Trust for a joint Jingle<br \/>\nBell Jog event this Saturday along the Gallagator Trail and Peet\u2019s Hill, with options to extend your run into the<br \/>\nPainted Hills trail system and Triple Tree, for those looking to put in some longer distances!<\/p>\n<p>Meet us at the GVLT office (212 S. Wallace &#8211; easiest to park in the Library parking lot and access the GVLT grounds from the east side) at 10 a.m. sharp (note the new, later start time!!)<\/p>\n<p>Bring your jingliest and jolliest holiday bells, cow bells, bear bells, hand bells, bicycle bells \u2026 really<br \/>\nanything that makes noise to help ring in a great year of running, while also showing your appreciation<br \/>\nand support for GVLT and our amazing local land and trail partners.<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t know much about GLVT, be sure to check out the great work they\u2019re doing to maintain our<br \/>\nphenomenal trail systems and conserve our pristine landscapes here.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, join us for a cookie exchange! Bring along a plate of cookies to share and swap with others.<br \/>\nBozeman Run Club and GVLT will also provide drinks and treats &#8211; it&#8217;ll be quite the party!<br \/>\nTrail options are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5333328874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Mile Route<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5333338030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3 Mile Route<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5333343562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5 Mile Route<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5835244318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10 Mile Route<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5835238900\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">17 Mile Route<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Only the 1, 3, and 5 Mile Routes will be marked and timed!)<\/p>\n<p>This IS a dog-friendly event, but if you bring your dog for the run, be aware that dogs must stay outside for this event, and will not be allowed in the building.<\/p>\n<p>See you out there!<\/p>\n<p><!--\nA holiday tradition!\u00a0 Come out in the beautiful, frosty winter-time surroundings along the Gallagator Trail and enjoy some festive running, and treat-sharing!\u00a0 We encourage runners to help us live up to the name of this fun run. Let\u2019s make a cheery racket! Bring or wear your bells: jingle bells, cow bells, school bells, bear bells, hand bells, bicycle bells, service bells, crotal bells, chimes\u2026 anything that rings in good cheer! Let\u2019s see how many smiles we can create out there!\u00a0 (We'll have a few sets of bells you can borrow, if you don't have any)\n\nWe will have Short, Medium, and Long courses (1, 2,8, and 4.2 mile routes).\u00a0 All options will be on the Gallagator Trail and connecting trails and sidewalks.\n\nCourse maps (NOTE:\u00a0 the routes have changed slightly from last year, due to deep snow!):\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5333328874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Short<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5333338030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medium<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapmyrun.com\/routes\/view\/5333343562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Long<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n9:00 AM start at the Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT) outdoor patio at 212 S. Wallace Ave. Park on Wallace or in the western side of Bozeman Public Library parking lot. There is a walkway between the library parking lot and the patio.
