And here they are – the Ed Anacker Bridger Ridge Run 2016 Results.

Thanks to all who came out and volunteered, participated, and supported the John Colter Run this week end.  What a beautiful day for this special community event.

Here is a photo  of Bob Hayes (89) and Mason Griffiths (6) This is what the human experience is all about right here.  The community support of two individuals 83 years apart sharing in an event that challenges both the mental and physical being.
Perhaps this is the real meaning of life.

Fat Ass 50 K

50K (one 5K loop at a time). 9:00 AM. Headwaters Park Start in the parking lot by the restrooms. If it is below 0° the run will take place the following Saturday. Run as many 5Ks as you want (or the weather allows) with road & trail options available. Self timed; if you finish after 3:00 pm, you will need to report your time to the club. Free hot and cold drinks. Free entry. Free company. Top five entrants get free entry next year.

JOHN COLTER RUN UPDATE

The race is absolutely full so plan on being there early.

  • Parking is limited so car pool is possible.  NO parking on the road.  Park at Headwaters State Park, the fishing access just to the north, or the parking lot to the south of the large rock knob before you get to the park.  We will have a shuttle so look for it.
  • The race will start between 9:00 and 9:30 depending on the railroad crossing.
  • Bib pickup is at 7:45 am
  • This morning the river is running at 700 cfs.  This is 300 cfs more than last year so expect waist deep water.
  • Runners must complete the race to get the shirt.  IF we have extras shirts we will distribute as available.
  • We really encourage costumes!
The weather will be beautiful, the run will be awesome!
