FRANK NEWMAN SPRING RELAY/MARATHON
Saturday May 25th, 2024, 8AM
A Big Sky Wind Drinkers marathon running tradition, The Frank Newman Spring Relay/Marathon.
This local genuine grass-root event is organized with love by Tracy and Frank Dougher!
You won’t find a better deal than this $5 race!
Marathon or Uphill Half Marathon
Start on Stone Creek Road, approximately 3 miles up from Jackson Creek Road.
The course starts on Stone Creek Road and then goes 3 miles down Bridger Canyon Dr. to Jackson Creek, turns left on Jackson Creek for about 8 miles to Old Highway 10, which is on the south side of Interstate 90.
The course proceeds east on Highway 10 up through Bozeman Pass then gradually downhill to Livingston.
After Highway 10 merges with Highway 89 in Livingston, turn left on to the walking path and proceed north to Yellowstone Street. Make a right turn on Yellowstone, leading into Sacagawea Park at the end of Yellowstone St.
Downhill Half Marathon
Start at the top of Bozeman Pass on the Frontage Road and follow the Marathon course into Sacagawea Park.
Lunch and Awards take place at Sacagawea Park in Livingston at about 12:30 p.m. Lunch is being provided courtesy of the Newman family, and is included in the entry fee for race participants (friends and family may also participate, at an additional cost of $5/person – these extra lunches must be ordered at the time of race registration, as we need to provide the Newmans a head count well ahead of the meal (no ‘pay-at-the-door’ lunches)!)
Registration (for all races) will be at the start of each race.
All runners must sign the form!
This is a minimal-support race (hence the low cost – $5.00 per person). There are water stations at approximately miles 6, 13, 19, and finish.
