Fun Run – McGuire Treasure Run & Feed

Come enjoy runs along the trails of Grafs Park, Sourdough Trail, and the Spring Meadows neighborhood trail systems – nice, flat routes for those recovering from the Ed Anacker Ridge Run this week – then enjoy some runner camaraderie with a potluck, hosted by Jacki and Steve McGuire!

Runs start at the McGuire home – see the map link for location (address is 2302 Highland Court).

We will be eating after the run – if you can, bring a dish, salad, or dessert to share after the runs!

Bogert Park

One of our most popular runs! Work up an appetite before heading downtown to the Bite of Bozeman food festival. Runs begin at Bogert Park on South Church, and head south along the Gallagator Trail.  The Medium and Long courses turn east on Kagy and follow separate routes that include climbs up onto Sourdough Ridge.

Winter Fun Run: Froze Nose Run

Run the Froze Nose – get a handicapped start time for the March run, and see if you can improve enough to win!

Our February “Froze Nose” and March “Handicap” run are paired events.  They are run on the same course, one month apart.  The idea is to challenge yourself to improve your time between these two dates.  Based on your run time in the Froze Nose, you will receive a time ‘handicap’ that will determine your start time for the March run – for example, if Runner 1 finishes 2 minutes ahead of Runner 2 at the Froze Nose, Runner 1 will start 2 minutes after Runner 2 at the Handicap Run; if both run the same time in March that they did in February, they would finish the March run at the same time.  Thus, those who “win” in March will be the runners who improved their times the most, not necessarily the fastest runners in the field!

Runs will start and end in front of the Town & Country building on South 11th.  Sign-ups for the run will be in front of Bridger Brewing (in the lobby, if the weather is bad).

We will offer 1-, 3-, and 5-mile courses.  See the course maps below.

Winter Fun Run: Jingle Bell Jog and Cookie Exchange

The holidays are here, and what better way to celebrate than with friends?

We’ll be joining the Bozeman Run Club and our friends at the Gallatin Valley Land Trust for a joint Jingle
Bell Jog event this Saturday along the Gallagator Trail and Peet’s Hill, with options to extend your run into the
Painted Hills trail system and Triple Tree, for those looking to put in some longer distances!

Meet us at the GVLT office (212 S. Wallace – easiest to park in the Library parking lot and access the GVLT grounds from the east side) at 10 a.m. sharp (note the new, later start time!!)

Bring your jingliest and jolliest holiday bells, cow bells, bear bells, hand bells, bicycle bells … really
anything that makes noise to help ring in a great year of running, while also showing your appreciation
and support for GVLT and our amazing local land and trail partners.

If you don’t know much about GLVT, be sure to check out the great work they’re doing to maintain our
phenomenal trail systems and conserve our pristine landscapes here.

Afterward, join us for a cookie exchange! Bring along a plate of cookies to share and swap with others.
Bozeman Run Club and GVLT will also provide drinks and treats – it’ll be quite the party!
Trail options are as follows:

  • (Only the 1, 3, and 5 Mile Routes will be marked and timed!)

    This IS a dog-friendly event, but if you bring your dog for the run, be aware that dogs must stay outside for this event, and will not be allowed in the building.
